I was wondering if there's ever a friendly "b.o.d." sign. I recently found one. How nice. Welcome, come into our home...we have a lovely pet...he has allergies...(peanut butter)...loves kids and chubby women...please pet and brush. Probably a name like "Frankie." Most canine notations seem so "agressive" I'd thought. I recently found others. Yay!!
For the person obsessed with their lawn. Very nice and informative. Probably a neutral semi mellow retriever. This dog probably has no official name. It's probably "dog" as in "THE dog." Friendly, zen and maybe lives out in the burbs or small beach town. Loves tennis balls, chasing sticks and watching sunsets.
Okay, so this one scares me. Not your average "Beware of Dog" sign.
Probably lives in Texas on a large ranch. This dog loves chimichangas, rabbits and small children. A member of the D-NRA. Has good health benefits but thinks he can "handle it himself." A sort of "I don't like pills" kind of dog.
This is a very sweet, "we got dogs" sign. I would guess that these folks have two small little ankle biters. Very cute and name after desserts. Maybe Choco and Choco Bean. Maybe that's coffee too? Heck, anyway, this owner probably celebrates their pets birthday at the local "lets make pottery" classes. Most likely a yorkie-mini pin (not sure what the pin stands for but I've heard it). The other is a mini poodle. I'm sure they have their own walk in "doggie closet." These dogs make us talk in those silly high voices. Some of us:)
Enough Said. Not selling thin mints to these folks. Nope...not gonna borrow milk, wave or even make eye contact.
Interesting. Can be taken many ways. Political? Territorial? "I dare you to try and see what happens?" "If you are reading this, you probably have dogs at your feet?"
We must appreciate that not all dogs are alike. "Variety is the spice of life."
While pondering the doggie details of life, I ran into this one. I'm not in Hawaii, Fiji or Puerto Rico. I thought it nice. How thoughtful. Who thinks of things falling from trees? (except ticks...me).
So I close this canine slice with our "b.o.d." sign. (pix to come) Ours is rustic, slightly painted and has "great presence". However....we have no dog.........................YET.
*No animals were harmed in any way while writing this. If your dog wasn't mentioned, it's because I'm not done yet. Rottweilers, Weiner dogs, dogs named Savannah, Toro, Pepper, Stinky, Foxy or Boone. We love all of you.
